In their previous meeting, Falfurrias routed Santa Rosa 46 - 10. The rematch, however, was a total reversal. Falfurrias has to be hurting after a devastating 34 - 7 defeat at the hands of Santa Rosa.
Santa Rosa remains undefeated at home and rose to 5-4. The defeat makes it one more game for Falfurrias (0-9) without a win.
The two teams have their sights set on raising those records in their upcoming games. Falfurrias will battle it out against Santa Gertrudis Academy on Friday at 7:30 PM. After another low point total this last game, Falfurrias has fallen into a real scoring funk its past three games; hopefully the team can find some way to reach the endzone more consistently. Meanwhile, Santa Rosa will face off against Bishop Friday at 7:30 PM. Santa Rosa better gear up as this will be its most challenging opponent yet.
